Philae Temple – The Jewel of the Nile

Perhaps one of the most enchanting temples in all of Egypt, the Temple of Philae is dedicated to the goddess Isis, the symbol of motherhood, magic, and love. Originally located on Philae Island, the temple complex was threatened by the waters of the Nile after the construction of the Aswan High Dam. Thanks to a massive UNESCO project, the entire complex was relocated to nearby Agilkia Island, stone by stone, preserving it for future generations.
